Deadwood Floats: Hey Boy

Deadwood FloatsDeadwood Floats, a Columbus, OH-based chamber folk sextet have recently seen the release of their new album, Three Years, several weeks back on June 4th. The track ‘Hey Boy’ is a poignant and reflective song that is very finely crafted, a promising sign of things to come for the group.

The band started tracking the songs on the album one night in their dim, second-floor living room on Oakland Avenue in December of 2011. They’ve stated that the album is for the places they lived, the people who also shared those spaces, and everything that happened during the three years it took to make it. The tracks were recorded between December, 2011 and March, 2014 in eight locations, mostly in Columbus, OH.
