Something To Do: Man in the Black Sedan

Something to DoAt least a decade ago, when the site was less voluminous, I used to peruse the artist lists at CDBaby religiously, looking for standout music in the haystack. It was around 2002 that I had a Eureka moment, coming across the debut EP of Wisconsin based ska band, SOMETHING TO DO – notably “Naked Pigeons Inside” issued via label Trapdoor Records.

After quickly snatching up that EP, I’ve slowly watched them progress over the years, winning a contest with their song about Duct Tape [When I’m Stuck I Turn to Duck Tape] in 2003, followed by full releases and touring schedules with great bands like Mustard Plug. Looking at their website, it shows they are also playing with The Toasters in just a few days time – pretty cool.

Today’s great feature (which also features a high energy video) can be found on the newest and fifth effort, “Music For Fine Dining”. Its available on the CDBaby page and can also be found with a handful of other artists on last year’s Summer Ska Fest 2k13 Mixtape at the link below. Highly recommended!
