Policy: In a Huff With Tantrums

PolicyToday’s Irish spotlight was a tip off from the fine people over at Fat Cat Records, a nice follow-up to yesterday’s feature out of the Dublin area.

Policy are a four piece, also near Dublin who recorded a debut four-track EP last May at Hive Studios in Kilcoole. Great names bandied about for the EP included Swastika Laundry, Mandatory Optimism, and Cheerfulness – yet for some reason the simplistic Policy EP/demo stuck.

Fat Cat remarks that “In a Huff with Tantrums” – the band’s first song reflects the dispute vocalist Robert Black has with other people about tantrums and huffs. “I think they’re inherently ridiculous and embarrassing given the ways of the world. You need to plough on” he says.
