Now that Memorial Day has passed here in the US, Summer is officially turning up the burners as we cross into its domain in June. Not next to the ocean? Just close your eyes and let the surfgazing fuzzed-out wash of Palm Spring, CA band YOU ME & US transplant you directly to that desert island mirage where your next nine favorite albums sit on deck.

The trio of Carlee, Ignacio, and Alyssa are on the verge of releasing the five song “Stay Inside” EP later this June of which today’s featured single is a part. Says vocalist Carlee Hendrix on the EP: “I love sunny pop songs, simple chord progressions, and easy melodies. But lyrically I like there to be strangeness. It’s a modern take on nostalgic pop.”
