The Ghost in You: The Shape
A notable favorite from the last handful of years, today’s track is from Philadelphia songwriter and musician Billy Polard. He goes by the moniker, THE GHOST IN YOU, under which he’s released a second full length, “Wet Wood” recorded in homegrown bedroom sessions and issued in October of last year.
Billy embodies the bewilderment of discovery in ‘The Shape’, evoking memories that I felt when first listening to artists like José González and Elliott Smith. Its been perfect as I sit alone this evening in a dark room reflecting on the ghosts of the past through headphones.
Aside from his music Billy has also animated several of his videos which have been featured across several mediums (magazine, TV, animation sites). Check out the YouTube link below for more.
