Shugo Tokumaru: Decorate
After the recent post featuring Mambassa Blouz Band, get used to it, you will find songs wich lyrics most of you may not understand. Still, do you have a limit for the music you listen? This isn’t your place then. But if you’re still there, try the new album by the Japonese Shugo Tokumaru. He is the one responsible for every sound you hear on his records.
Recorded and mixed by Tokumaru at his home studio, In Focus? went to the Abbey Road Studios for the mastering proccess. The perfect place for mixing The Beatles with Japonese pop music, including of course a diverse quantity of ethnic sounds.
Yet, even if you don’t understand what he his singing, you can’t resist to another excellent release by Polyvinyl Records.
