From their new album Led Zeppelin Five. Los Angeles based The Black Watch are long term favourites of Insomnia Radio. Their latest and boldly titled album is something like their seventeenth offering in their third decade of recording, since they formed in 1988 in Santa Barbara, California, the day after frontman John Andrew Fredrick saw a London band called The Lucy Show play to seven people at a State Street club.

The band now comprises:

John Andrew Fredrick – guitars, vocals
Stephen Schlayer – guitars, vocals
Rick Woodard – drums
Tim Boland – bass
