Sun Airway is a project from ex-A-Sides Patrick Marsceill and Jon Bathmus. After releasing a 4-song EP called ‘Oh, Naoko,’ they released their first full-length, ‘Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier,’ on October 26 of last year via Dead Oceans. [last.fm]
Band co-founder Jon Barthmus explains the original and new takes of the song in a letter and dedication to Yoko Ono over at the Yours Truly blogsite. Apparently Sun Airway also recorded an acoustic track at Different Fur Studios during a recent tour with Bear In Heaven. See previous link for all the goods.
