The Americans: Diamond

“The White EP” is set for release February 15, 2011
The AmericansWho are The Americans! This brainchild of lead singer/producer Charlie Klarsfeld appropriates a pastiche of pop influences to form something entirely new. Not strictly R&B, Doo-Wop, Funk, or Blues, the band serves personal pop songs in a palatable manner. Klarsfeld’s songwriting has already inspired established musicians to lend their hands in the realization of his visionary musical undertakings. The first EP features The Dap Kings horn section (Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Al Green) and gives the record a classic soul feel. On the band’s upcoming White EP, Sean Lennon’s production and vocals on “Requiem” add an air of tragedy and beauty to the song. Also featured on the new record is Daniel Merriweather, pulling out all the stops on the bridge of a 6 minute epic for Diamond Diamond.
