Deadbeat Darling: Without a Trace

Dead Beat DarlingDeadbeat Darling is a band living in New York City founded by singer/guitarist Joseph King, who after 7 years as a respected songwriter and frontman in the Austin music scene, moved to NYC in October of 2005 to begin work in a new musical direction.

Equal parts mischief and bliss, eloquence and irreverence, Deadbeat Darling have built an eclectic and inspired following solely upon word of mouth. Barely two years after forming, Deadbeat Darling has drawn capacity crowds to venues across New York, including Mercury Lounge, Pianos and Galapagos, and ended 2008 with a string of shows at Bowery Ballroom. They have also nurtured healthy followings in cities throughout the East Coast and Texas, and are set to release their debut full-length album, “Weight of Wandering” on June 5th.

They will reprise an appearance at the Bowery Ballroom in New York with a celebratory show a on the day of the release, where they’ll be joined by Blip Blip Bleep and other special guests. It’s sure to be an event well worth attending! The boys will also be returning to their home state of Texas for three rousing shows towards the end of May. Details follow!  [themusebox.net]
