IR: The SoCal Sessions #11 – This is the City

Hey music junkie! First time here? Click over to and get all of our content (tons of music) delivered for free. Enjoy your time here, and keep it loud!

Presenting a somewhat wide cross-section of the LA music scene, ‘This is the City’ brings us several tracks from a cadre of talented artists with new undiscovered music to share with the world.

Fishbone returns to the fold with a song about peace & unity, and leads the charge into the rest of the session where we discover the beautiful and driving indie pop of Adam Freedman, a reflective look at last weeks tragic events through a Pushstart Wagon song, and the ethereal majesty of songs by both Lost in Los Angeles & Building a Better Spaceship.

Also jumping into the mix today is a special guest appearance from Lynn Parsons, a podcaster from the UK who had some colorful things to say about the transplanted Fresno outfit, The Argyle Pimps, on one of her past episodes.

Included at the tail end of this session are two visiting artists from Stockholm & Austin, performing this coming weekend at the renowned Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio.
