Insomnia Radio #110: 00100001
November 13, 2006
Running Time: 57 minutes | Worksafe | Ideal for Headphones & Darkness
On Insomnia Radio 103, I took a chance and featured all hip-hop. It went over surprisingly well. With that in mind, I dedicate this entire episode to Electronica. It was inspired by two things:
1) Dave’s Lounge, one of the best downtempo shows out there.
2) A lot of recent stress, which music like this seems to subdue.
I hope ya enjoy this episode, and I welcome your feedback. No frills here today, as evidenced by 12 tracks in under an hour… A note about music links: iTunes is awesome if you have an iPod. Rhapsody is cool for streaming entire albums by the artists featured, and eMusic is perfect for non-DRM’ed MP3’s on the cheap. Choice is good.

Major thank-you’s to Corey @ Promonet, Dave, Charles, and Scott. Have a great week gang.

Twenty-five episodes in, y’all. And I’m just getting warmed up! Seven awesome tracks from bands based in the SF Bay Area and… Reno, NV??? Sprinkle in a little parody silliness and you’ve got 40 minutes of good times had by all.

IR Orlando #12: Anti-Pop
November 8, 2006
The Anti*Pop Music Fest hits Orlando next week. This is the second year for the festival, which includes a week of incredible shows at venues all over town as well as some discussion panels. In light of that, this episode will feature bands that are performing there, whether they are local or not.
PLEASE NOTE: I stated some dates in the show that are INCORRECT. The days of the week I mentioned are correct, but starting Wednesday, Nov 15 I misspoke and said it was one calendar day ahead of the actual date… Show notes here are corrected. Please visit the Anti*Pop website (linked above) for more detailed information…
