Parcourse: The Ballad of Betty and Billy

October 18, 2006

Parcourse

Take the hook-laden swirl of 60’s Britpop, mix it with the DIY aesthetic of mid-90’s lo-fi indie rock, and you get Parcourse. They are poppy without the sugar, introspective without the melodrama, and melancholy without the sadness. Their new EP, Names of Battles, is easily identifiable as the soundtrack to the uncertain world of this new millennium.

OK, so admittedly I’m no Lester Bangs
