Meeky Rosie: Forever

Meeky RosieMeeky Rosie are a band based in Devon, South West England, UK whose members became friends while studying at the University of Plymouth.   They recently finished writing and recording their debut album on the banks of the River Dart in Devon, working with cutting edge producer Max Heyes for the last several months.  The album is currently being mixed at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios by Tchad Blake and Alan Moulder and is slated for an October 2006 release date.

You may have heard of them due to their recognition for their contribution to the U.S. documentary film “Who Killed the Electric Car?”, as this song “Forever” was used as the documentary’s main track.  [wiki]

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately after recording their debut album and completing the mixing their record label was not prepared to invest any more money to release and promote the album. Meeky Rosie has now disbanded, although did announce they were recording as recently as 2007 on their MySpace page.
